>Anybody know anywhere else in Durham to try?
the duke coffeehouse. there's and open mic there every week. except
it's usually a high quality open mic thing. it's called _no boundaries_.
everything from film to poetry to live music to dance, whatever anybody
wants to do. some semesters it's on wednesday nights, sometimes thursday
nights, idunno what night this semester yet. there's an advance (one week
ahead) signup, i believe. it's your best oppotunity to play in durham. just
about every durham band debuted there. drop in an ask around. there
open during lunchtime when schools in session. just don't eat the food
there.
also, try captured live on rigsbee street. it's a recording studio that
often has live music on friday nights. a really comfortable place. just
about any kind of music. talk to chris chamis there. a charming feller
of much renown.
idunno if ravena's on ninth street still does music or not. i haven't
been to anything there since eight eyes played there about four years
ago.
artomatic plans to have some sorta big music extravaganza on valentine's
day. ask for mark cunningham.
uh, how do i get one of those chaotic arts ensemble tapes?
