If you could give me one example of a regional radio-station-fueled
compilation that has sold even one copy outside of the region, I'd worry
about getting it out to the people in the rest of the country. But we
all know that the limited appeal of the things is very limited to the
geographical area in which the bands generally operate.
Having said that, here's the lineup:
Whiskeytown, Rubbermaid, Joby's Opinion, Cole, Analogue, Dear Enemy, $2
Pistols, Gold Sparkle Quartet (oops! those Atlanta infiltrators! I'll
have to get some down there after all), William Christ Supercarr,
Bicentennial Quarters, Pine State, Starry Wisdom Band, BeatlesS (kind
of).
Radio stations serviced by request, or based on whether they've spun the
various individual folks on the CD. Like, um, WREK for instance, who are
known to have had a big jones for Joby's and Piner Stater.
Mailorder is always an option, one which I would consider.
