Fair enough, here goes:

Next Songwriters Alliance is Tues Jan 21 at the Cave,
10pm to midnight. The guests are:

Heather Russell, the Chapel Hill pianist/composer who's
work (music, acting, and dance) you may have already
witnessed with the Somnambulist Project. Her webpage has
a nice bio and some music clips and background.
The URL is http://www.freecloud.com/heather/

Scott Davison. Before the dB's, Superchunk and SNZ
were Arrogance ('69 - '83). It's been said, but it's
worth repeating here: "If Robert Kirkland was Lennon to
Don Dixon's McCartney, then surely Scott was Ringo!"
He was the funny/sad Arrogant who blossomed late as
a songwriter and turned out to be a pretty fair actor.
I'll be egging him on to sing Octopus' Garden, uh, I mean
Velvet Elvis, his cut on the NC compilation 'Welcome to
Comboland' (circa '85 or so).

And this tidbit that only 3.2.3 will care about:

NC's only all Kinks kover kombo ('64 to '71 era, with a decidedly
Brad Newell slant),the Dedicated Followers, will debut in
all it's camp glory at Greensboro's Flatiron on Friday
Jan 17. See the following URL for more.
