If you play guitar (preferably an ol' fat archtop or something), standup
bass, fiddle, accordion, drums, or some other applicable instrument and
think you have or could acquire some western swing sensibilities, e-mail
me (riser@email.unc.edu) about playing in a new honest-to-God,
as-no-shit-serious-as-a-band-consisting-of-two-ex-Pine-State-members-can-be
western swing band.  The Mayor (acoustic gtr and vocals) and I (steel gtr
and vocals) are itching to fire up our fauxness once again, this time
without the cover of fire, smoke and white noise (not that that wasn't a
helluva lotta fun).  A few originals and a goodly handful of covers (the
likes of Bob Wills, Ernest Tubb, Red Foley, Hank Thompson, Milton Brown,
Adolph Hofner, Johnny Bond, Cliff Bruner, T Texas Tyler, etc.).
