No reggae fans in Chapel Hill? What's happened down there?

When I lived in Durham, The Art School (Carboro)was rammed packed when 
Awareness Art Ensemble played; the Palace in Durham was packed when 
Uprising, Awareness, Winston Grennan Ska Rocks came through - I went to 
several concerts (eg Yellowman) at Cat's Cradle - all well attended...

Did all local reggae fans graduate?
