Charlie, you are a mean-spirited whiny little man sometimes. Working for
that hot-shit SunSITE hasn't improved that little arrogance problem any
either, I see.

Yep. Similar stuff happens to me all the time. No big deal. If somebody
starts agitating for something that's way down on the priority list, I
either ignore them completely or get to it when I get to it. Either way,
if you're going to get all uptight about that shit, you probably
shouldn't be doing sysadmin/support work. Pretty much defines the job.

And yes, I've read UNC Support, and I know that every five minutes over
there, somebody brings up a bogus netware server and doesn't set the
network address and floods the campus backbone with bogus SAPs and all
the other netware servers freak out. It must suck. I mean, we've got
jerky users here, but none of them have the ability to bring a new
server online, so when they break something, it usually affects only
them.

No, you're not kidding either. You're just being a jerk. Listen: I've
got folks, myself included, who are concerned about (a) the location of
the archives, and (b) the fact that the mail2news/news2mail gateway is
misconfigured at present. They ask me about it. I in turn ask Kelly. I
know for a *fact* that Kelly isn't going to fix the stuff if he doesn't
know that it's broken (duh), so I send him email asking him about it.
Sometimes he responds, and I duly report the response, as in the message
you're picking at.

Other times he doesn't respond, and I usually just let it slide for a
while because I know he's got other stuff to do. But after a while I'll
nudge him, because if his desk/inbox/voicemail is anything like mine,
only the most-recent 5 hours' worth of stuff is even visible.

I see no reason to whine about any of this. So cut it out.

Ross
