Greetings Chapel Hill:
Am I to assume from the previous post (in reply to my question, "Any
Reggae Fans in Chapel Hill?"), that Magic 8 Ball's post that there are
"no reggae fans in Chapel Hill" that Magic 8 is providing this writer
with the resultant statistics compiled from intensive surveys and target
market analysis of all music lovers in Chapel Hill?
Or perchance, Magic 8 is the elected Leader Of Musical Preferences in
Chapel Hill, and as such, has proclaimed there is not/cannot be one
reggae fan in this town.
Or perhaps Magic 8, clearly not a reggae fan, felt compelled to answer
for the entire CH Massive.
Gee, I'm impressed.
But I doubt Magic 8 is standing on firm ground, otherwise, why did he
feel the need to threaten this writer? Not only rude, but highly uncalled
for. This writer is trying to publicize the appearance of one of
Jamaica's original musicians who was instrumental (pardon the pun) in the
creation of reggae music.
This writer is also mature enough to disregard juvenile threats posted on
a newsgroup and looks at this instance of bad taste as a sorry reflection
of Magic 8 and as very poor use of the Chapel Hill newsgroup, which
should be used to promote local music and area concerts.
