I think this is a very good area for swing dancing. The Triangle Swing
Dance Society is very active and puts on about 2-3 swing dances a month.

This is the URL for Partner Dancing in the Triangle:
http://www.cs.unc.edu/~leech/dance.html. They have information about
the Triangle Swing Dance Society, reviews of swing bands, lists of
instructors, etc.

By coincidence, my boyfriend and I just started taking swing dancing
lessons at the ArtsCenter - very fun. There's also several Lindy and
Western Swing classes too.

I'm not sure if any clubs have swing dancing regularly - I think it's
mostly through the dances. You might want to try the Carrboro
ArtsCenter (929-2787).

The only other local band I know besides SNZ is Rebecca and the Hi
Tones, and they're pretty good.

HTH,

Heather
