thank god someone finally said it. i always feel like the grinch when
i try and make such suggestions (usually because by the time i make them
i'm so fed up with the propaganda that i say it in a way that sounds
terse and mean spirited).
i dont think anyone minds a local posting a notice about their own show
(or anyone else's for that matter). i've managed to catch several shows
that i otherwise would have missed thanks to people here alerting or
reminding me of their date and venue.
but...well, what jeff said. i personally find it cloying for someone to
use this group to generate a buzz about their own band. or mention thier
own band at what *seems* like everyopportunityunderthesun.
ok, enough grinchiness for a friday. i have exams to grade.
