Well, i stumbled across a copy of the new cd(not yet released I think) last
week. I think it's called something like, "Kings and Something'r'other".
Anyway, i gave it a long listen. NOt once. but about 7 or 8 times over the
past week. Here's what i thought on it last i heard it...

alot different from the last two releases. much smoother/melodic. didn't
seem to be quite as much distorted 'bust-yo-lip' guitar or vocals. it gave
me this really spacee feeling a few times, i guess from all the
reverb/echo/whatever in some of the songs. (this isn't really telling you
much is it.) ANywaah, it's a great album. I liked it better than the last
one but for different reasons. Didn't seem to be much of that horn in there
on this one. what up wit dat?

I guess they've been doing pretty well with booking shows and shit like
that. My friend called me sometime last year and said that the were playing
in his town of Grand Forks, ND. I also heard that they opened for the
ARchers in Cincinnati or some place like that.

>Plus they're just the nicest fellows.

This is true. Back in the days of the Turtle in Greensboro my friends and I
met the guitar player. We had traveled to greensboro to see june, who had
cancelled a few hours before we left. So instead of turning around and
leaving, we stayed and talked to the guitar-guy who was also bartending.
Really nice fella.

well, that's my rant for now.
