The reason that its not cool to mention Drivin' N' Cryin' is that they
haven't made an album worth a damn since '89 (Mystery Road), not because
they've had some commercial sucess.
Kevn Kinney is a great songwriter and I can't help but think he's sellin'
his soul for a bit of sucess. I saw the band in'89 opening for REM (in
Chapel Hill as a matter of fact) and they were great. I saw then just over
two years ago, and they were pretty putrid. I *hope* they still have a
great album or two left in 'em, but I'm not holding my breath.
All of this is just my opinion, of course.
