Several folks cover it - ones that come to mind first are Patsy Cline
and Webb Pierce. Oh and Charlie Walker does a killer up-beat version on
that Honky Tonk Heroes CD that is more like the way the Pistols play it.
I'd recommend that "Columbia Country Classics, vol2: Honky Tonk Heroes"
CD to anyone looking for some GREAT songs that helped set the $2 Pistols
style. If you like the Pistols, you'll like these performances from the
50s as well.

I've always enjoyed when Howie plays a solo acoustic set in between two
full band sets. Of course, I just wish someone would release the already
recorded Pistols demos AND the complete XDU lounge recording.
HINT HINT.

Good grief. It amazes me they're still out there slogging away. They seem
like a distant, but extremely loud, memory from 1986. I sure did like that
"scarred but smarter" song...
